KITM Announces Return of In-Person Group Counseling
Hello KITM Families,
We have exciting news! Kids In The Middle (KITM) plans to have our children’s in-person group counseling return to in-person beginning the week of January 10, 2022.
As we continue to navigate this unprecedented time, KITM will not shift from our core values and mission: Kids In The Middle empowers children, parents, and families during and after divorce through counseling, education, and support. Ensuring the continuity of KITM services has continued to be a top priority as we know the ever-present need for mental health services in our community. The goal is always to take a careful and thoughtful approach to re-introduce employees and clients to the agency. KITM’s preferred modality of services is group counseling. We know that children do best when they are in a supportive group setting with their peers. Therefore, we are excited to provide extended clinical support to children in-office, beginning the week of January 10, 2022.
KITM follows CDC guidelines and safety guidelines proposed in the Health Commissioner’s Order No. 5 – COVID 19 (2021) protocol. KITM has put policies and procedures in place to ensure best practices while maintaining the safety of our staff and clients. Please note, these procedures are subject to change with new recommendations.
• Regardless of vaccine status, all employees, and clients over the age of 5 will be required to wear a mask at all times while on the Agency premises. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.
• Our lobby will be open but with limited seating. If you are waiting in your car, we ask that you not leave the premises while your child is in session.
• Enhanced cleaning protocols, following CDC guidelines, will be done throughout the day, and rooms will be cleaned and disinfected after each group session.
• Hand sanitizing stations will also be located throughout the building for your convenience.
If you or your child is sick, please do not attend group and notify our main number of the absence 314.909.9922.
Your child’s group therapist will be reaching out to you with additional information, but please do not hesitate to call your child’s therapist with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Katy Walter
