Delta Dental Awards $5,000 Grant to Kids In The Middle

ST. LOUIS (Feb. 22, 2021) –  Kids In The Middle (KITM) has been awarded $5,000 from the Delta Dental Giving Community. The grant will provide Group and Individual Counseling for Children ages 3 ½ to 18 whose families are experiencing trauma due to parental separation, divorce, remarriage, and other family transitions.

“KITM is proud to receive a grant from an organization like Delta Dental of Missouri,” says Katy Walter, CEO of KITM. “We both strive to make a difference in our community and provide much-needed health care to those in need.”

Delta Dental of Missouri is the state’s leading dental benefits provider and a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. Through Delta Dental’s community giving, they support charitable organizations and programs working to make a difference in Missouri communities. Delta Dental annually gives back to organizations through oral healthy supply donations and community donations/sponsorships.

KITM will not turn families away because of an inability to pay for counseling services. The Agency uses a sliding scale fee process and based upon an assessment of a family’s income, and families pay what they can afford. Approximately 90 percent of the children and families that receive services at KITM receive some level of financial assistance.
